Founded in Australia this company had a global presence and had moved their head office to New York.All the software engineering capability was in Australia and whilst the company was achieving strong market recognition and revenue growth, they were an unknown entity as a destination for software engineering talent.Off the back of successful revenue growth and funding successes the business was primed to take the next step on the scale journey.
The Challenge
The organisation had a very clearly defined goal.They wanted to hire an ex-FAANG CTO.This was for two key reasons.The first was to establish a culture of engineering excellence and to acquire a CTO who had been through significant scale journeys previously.The second was to elevate their employment brand within the technology talent markets to enable them to improve their talent density and be a tier one employer of choice.
Recognizing the importance of finding the right technology leader, the company sought an executive search partner with proven expertise in sourcing top-tier technology leadership talent.
