I have been retained to appoint a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a high-growth Australian medical monitoring and diagnostics scale-up.

Operating at the critical intersection of clinical research, medical hardware, cloud software, and distributed streaming telemetry, the business is scaling its high-throughput platform as the company looks to expand into the US, EU, and APAC markets.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the incoming CTO will take operational ownership of the technology architecture, engineering capability, and product roadmap.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲:

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴: Architect an enterprise-scale, event-driven data platform (Kafka, Flink, microservices) capable of ingesting and processing millions of hours of continuous medical data with zero loss.

𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗜 & 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀: Lead the strategy to pragmatically evaluate, validate, and deploy machine learning/AI models for signal analysis.

𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Mentor squads delivering rapid software iterations while upholding medical-grade safety, reliability, and auditability.

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Oversee compliance across medical device software standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485) and international healthcare data protocols (HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, GDPR).

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:

Full-time, hands-on leadership role based on-site at headquarters in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.   𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝟱 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸.

You are just as fluent discussing Kafka consumer groups and telemetry pipelines with software teams as you are understanding clinical protocols with medical specialists. Proven leadership across distributed streaming architectures, remote patient monitoring, or regulated medical device software (SaMD) is critical
